Stress is Chemical
As twisted as it may seem, there are two broad major types of Stress, the positive stress called "eustress" which involves motivation, emotional well-being, aerobic exercise, walk-outs and placebos which has positive health implications. The negative stress involves fight and flight effects, emotional disturbances, Nocebo effects and so on.
What makes stress unhealthy
Under stress, the body produces stress hormones cortisol, cartecholamimes and so on which enhances increased heart rate and blood pressure well enough for human survival.
This hormones also reduces the immune system when they are released from the adrenal gland. Therefore stress reduces the human immune fighting ability and promotes some epigenetical changes in the human system.
The effective ways of reducing bad stress is to balance it with eustress and consumption of some antioxidants which helps reduce oxidative stress on the human cells
